Copyright & Takedown
Last updated 9 August 2026
If your content appears in Eat Book and you want it removed, this page is how. We act on every report.
What Eat Book does with content
When someone shares a food post into Eat Book, we read its public caption and details to identify the venue or recipe, save what we extract into that person’s private book, and keep a copy of the post’s preview image so their saved card keeps its picture. We always keep and display the creator’s name alongside what was saved, linked to their profile. Nothing is republished as ours, and we claim no ownership of any of it.
Asking us to remove something
If you’re a creator, photographer, platform, or rights holder and want your material removed, email support (at) eatbook.food with:
- What the material is — a link to the original post or image;
- Where you found it in Eat Book — a share link, an image URL, or a description of what you saw;
- Who you are and the rights you hold in the material, and a way to reach you;
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
We aim to act within 14 days, and usually much sooner. Removal takes the material out of our stored copies, including preview images we host.
US DMCA notices
Formal DMCA takedown notices are accepted at the same address, and should also include the elements section 512(c)(3) requires — your physical or electronic signature and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you’re authorised to act for the rights holder.
If your content was removed
If something you saved or shared was removed after a report and you believe that was a mistake, email the same address with the details and we’ll look again.
