Terms of Service

Last updated 9 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Eat Book. By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use Eat Book.

What Eat Book is

Eat Book is a free service that takes a restaurant post you share — from TikTok or Instagram — identifies the venue, classifies the cuisine, and pins it to your personal map with details like address, hours and rating. It’s a tool for keeping track of places you want to eat.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Eat Book. Signing in is optional and passwordless. Because access is tied to your email, keep control of your email address — anyone who can open your sign-in link or code can reach your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account.

Using Eat Book responsibly

Content and accuracy

The videos, captions and images you share belong to their original creators and platforms. Eat Book reads them to find the venue or recipe, saves the details it extracts into your book, and keeps a copy of the post’s preview image so your saved cards keep their picture. We always keep and show the creator’s name with what was saved. If your content has been saved through Eat Book and you’d like it removed, our Copyright page explains how to tell us — we act on every report. Venue details come from third-party sources (such as Google) and are generated with the help of AI, which can get things wrong. Always double-check hours, location and other details before you rely on them. The spots and notes you save are yours; you’re responsible for what you add.

Availability

We offer Eat Book on a best-effort basis and may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update or remove data that’s inaccurate or that breaks these terms.

No warranty

Eat Book is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that venue information is accurate or up to date, or that the service will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Market Equities Limited won’t be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Eat Book, including anything that follows from relying on venue details found through the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Eat Book at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend access if these terms are broken.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above when we do. Continuing to use Eat Book means you accept the current version.

Governing law

Eat Book is provided by Market Equities Limited, a company registered in Ireland at Courtyard, Manor House, 3 Church Rd, Malahide, Co. Dublin, K36 AK25, Ireland. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction — but if you use Eat Book as a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the courts of the country where you live.
